Built from a problem we had ourselves
Agent Fleet did not start as a product idea.
It started as a tool we needed for our own work.
As coding agents became more capable, we found ourselves running more of them at the same time — across different terminals, projects, sessions, and machines. Each agent could do useful work on its own, but coordinating them was still largely a human task.
Context had to be copied from one place to another. Status had to be checked manually. Agents working on related tasks had no simple way to communicate.
At some point, the person using the agents had become the message bus.
So we started building a better way.
The first versions of Agent Fleet were made for our own daily workflow. We kept using them, finding what was awkward, removing what was unnecessary, and adding what we needed next.
Over time, that internal tool became the product you see today.
It is still developed the same way: by using it in real work.
How we think about software
We prefer software that is understandable.
If something can happen locally, we would rather keep it local. If we do not need a piece of data, we would rather not collect it. If a product has technical or operational limits, we would rather explain them clearly than hide them behind marketing language.
We also believe AI tools should reduce coordination work, not create another layer of it.
Our approach is simple: start with a real need, build something useful, use it ourselves, and keep improving it.
Agent Fleet is where we started.
